Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 15 (ANI): Devotees throng in large numbers at Govardhan Temple ahead of the Mundiya Purnima Mela in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.

On preparations regarding the Mundiya Purnima Mela in the city, Mathura DM Shailendra Kumar Singh on Sunday said that all the arrangements have been made for the Mela.
“As we all know, Mudiya Purnima Mela is one such festival of Mathura district in which most devotees come here. This is a total of 21 km parikarama, in which 1.5 km lie in Rajasthan and rest in Uttar Pradesh. We have made arrangements for CCTV cameras and a public address system so that complete connectivity is maintained and we can get help in controlling the crowd at the fair,” Mathura DM told ANI.

“Apart from this, with the cooperation of our various departments, be it Health Department, Electricity Department, Transport Department, Revenue Department, and Police Department, we are trying our best to improve the arrangements for the fair,” he added.
He further said that more than 600 sanitation workers have been deployed and appealed to the people not to use polythene.
“We are employing more than 600 sanitation workers. We appeal to people not to use polythene. DJ is being banned today because, due to this, it is not possible to make announcements on the public address system and if someone from a family gets lost, there are problems in reuniting them,” he said.
Mathura DM said that 20 health centres have been made in the mela and 21 ambulances have been deployed for the people.
“The Khoya Paya Kendra room and control rooms of ours, all the necessary arrangements are being made. We have put round-the-clock duties. We have deployed 21 ambulances for the people. We have built more than 20 health centres in the mela. The CSE has been extended , 30 beds plus and doctors will be there. All the arrangements have been made in district hospitals. From our side, all the arrangements are complete and we are fully prepared,” he said.
