Patna (Bihar) [India], May 12 (ANI): Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal on Monday praised the Indian Army for its Operation Sindoor against terrorism and said the entire nation takes pride in the forces’ achievements.
“The whole country is proud of the Indian Army. The valour displayed by the Indian Army and the way the army destroyed the terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and killed the terrorists, the people of the whole country are proud of them,” Jaiswal said.
He said India would respond strongly if there were another terrorist attack.
“If the terrorists attack again, this time Pakistan will be answered with ‘gola’ and not ‘goli’,” Jaiswal said.
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav called for a special session of Parliament to formally thank the armed forces for their bravery and decisive action.
He said, “Now we all want, and we have also tweeted to the Prime Minister and made this request, that a special session of Parliament should be called.”
“All members of the armed forces should be thanked and honoured for their bravery. A special session of Parliament should be held so that, just as the Army has given a strong response to Pakistan, we, through Parliament and on behalf of the entire nation, can express our gratitude to the Army for the courage they have shown,” Yadav further added.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi wrote letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convene a special session of the Parliament.
Earlier on Sunday, Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai apprised about his conversation with his counterpart, which resulted in cessation of cross-border firing and air intrusions by both the neighbouring countries, saying that the Pakistan army violated these understandings after a couple of hours after the cessation of hostilities.
